Ancient cities and souks

Fes’s dye pits and spice mounds, Marrakech’s Jemaa el-Fna, laneways, city walls and traditional crafts — photos at every turn.

Chefchaouen, the blue mountain town

Houses, steps, mosques — the whole town is painted blue. We give it a full day, so there’s time to explore every lane.
